Hopefully, this page will answer your wedding celebrant questions...
But do contact me for anything. I am even better in person and love to meet over tea.

What is a Humanist wedding?
A humanist wedding is a personalised, non-religious ceremony that celebrates your love and commitment in a way that is meaningful, inclusive, and uniquely yours. Unlike traditional religious weddings, a humanist wedding focuses on your story, values, and what matters most to you as a couple. The ceremony can take place anywhere and be just you two or a whole crew. When you choose a humanist wedding, you can expect a ceremony that is warm, authentic, and full of personality-crafted to reflect your relationship and the journey you share. It’s a joyful celebration designed entirely around you, creating unforgettable memories for you and your guests. Learn more at the Humanists UK website.

Will our Ceremony be legal?
You will have to do the legal bit separately with a Registrar, which generally costs around £57 (for the basic 2+2 'statutory registration' option). It is the 'paperwork' bit of your marriage. You can do the 'legal bit' at any time. My fellow Humanist Celebrant, Louise Gather, has a very brilliant blog with examples of how others have navigated the legal aspects.

We want to personalise the ceremony with our own vows, music and rituals...
100% I have lots of examples for you to use.
This is why I trained with Humanists UK the emphasis is on you, what you would like (I can help you figure that out if you have no idea) and what is meaningful for you.
4
Can we include our pets, especially dogs?
Yes - if it is important to you, then we will make it happen!
5
How do we book you and how does payment work?
We will meet online to confirm I am the right person for you, then, when I receive the first deposit payment, your date will be booked! The second instalment will be received after the draft script has been signed off by you. The final instalment will be due the day after the ceremony.
